St. Lawrence County expected to 'warm up' into single digits today; brutal cold weather likely to return for weekend
Tuesday, January 2, 2018 - 5:58 am

Warmer temperatures in the single digits to teens are expected today in St. Lawrence County along with some scattered snow showers as an upper level disturbance glances the international border, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Below zero temps will be felt across the region early today before the high climbs above zero, forecasters say. Wind chill values as low as -20 are possible.

There is a 60 percent chance of snow showers with around an inch of accumulation possible, the service says.

NWS says an overnight low of 8 degrees is likely with wind chill values as low as -5.

High pressure builds back into the region for Wednesday along with closer to normal temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s.
