FINE – Five people were injured as the result of a car-all terrain vehicle accident Aug. 31 on the Youngs Road in Star Lake, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Deputies report an unnamed 15-year-old operating an ATV with two additional passengers was traveling on the Youngs Road and turning into a driveway at a hill crest when they were struck from behind by a car driven by Michael Boshane, 17, of 419 Lake Rd., Star Lake.
Boshane and his passenger, Nelson Martin III, 24, of 266 Oswegatchie Trail, Oswegatchie, were taken by Star Lake rescue to Clifton-Fine Hospital, where they were treated and released.
The 15-year-old operator of the ATV and both his passengers, Bryan A. White, 16, of 188 Benson Mines Rd., Star Lake, and Robert E. LaBrake, 16, of 4351 St. Hwy. 3, Star Lake, were also taken by Star Lake rescue to Clifton-Fine Hospital, where they were being treated for minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
