POTSDAM – Five people were hurt in a rollover accident on the Hoadley Road in the town of Potsdam Friday.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports that, at about 6:30 p.m., Zachary Marcelllus, 17, of 443 County Rt. 34, Canton, lost control of the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving and went off the road. The SUV rolled and came to rest on its roof.
Potsdam and Madrid rescue units took Marcellus and his four passengers to Canton-Potsdam Hospital where they were treated for what were described as minor injuries.
Marcellus will answer a charge of driving at a speed not reasonable and prudent in Potsdam Town Court.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by West Potsdam Fire and First Responders.
