POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Library will hold three promotions to celebrate “Love Your Library Month” in February.
First, all overdue fines will be waived if materials are returned during February.
In addition, the library will partner with the Potsdam Neighborhood Center Food Pantry for the “Love Your Library, Love Your Neighbor” Program. The library will be collecting donations to the food pantry as part of the program. Particularly needed are health and beauty aids and cleaning supplies such as toothbrushes, soap, detergents and tissues. A box will be placed in the library for donations.
Last, the library will be selling “I Love My Public Library” bumper sticker magnets for $2.
“It is amazing how many people comment to me that they never seem to think of the library when they think of things to do and are pleasantly surprised when they see all the materials and events we have,” said library director Pat Musante.
“Well, some of us will be giving gentle reminders that we are here as we drive around our communities and we really DO love our public libraries.”
