Far East Movement to headline Clarkson Springfest April 16

POTSDAM – Far East Movement will headline Clarkson University's Springfest Saturday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Cheel Arena.

The concert, presented by the Clarkson Union Board (CUB), will also feature special guest Secondhand Serenade, as well as a local opener to be announced soon.

Tickets are on sale at the new Clarkson Student Center Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Prices are $12 for Clarkson students, $15 for college students, and $20 for all others.

Tickets are also available at the SUNY Potsdam Student Government Association office, the SUNY Canton information desk, Northern Music & Video in Potsdam, Strawberry Fields Music in Potsdam, or online at http://cub.musictoday.com.

The Far East Movement took the Los Angeles club scene global with numerous world tours, song placements on television and film with a #1 hit song (Girls On The Dance Floor) on Los Angeles radio all before they dropped their debut album, Free Wired, in 2010 on Cherrytree/Interscope Records.

The subsequent official lead single "Like A G6" is a triple platinum-plus selling song that exploded on radio and sales charts across the world, hitting #1 on Billboard's Hot 100, Digital Song chart and iTunes on multiple weeks.

Secondhand Serenade is an American acoustic rock band, led by vocalist and guitarist John Vesely.

Vesely has released three studio albums to date under the name Secondhand Serenade: Awake in 2007, A Twist in My Story in 2008 and Hear Me Now in 2010.
