She is practicing at Canton Family Medicine, EJ Noble Building, 80 Main Street, Canton.

Strickland is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, College Station, Texas, and underwent her residency training through the University of Wisconsin Family Medicine Residency, Appleton, WI. Additionally, she served three years with the Peace Corp in Africa.

A news release from SLHS says Strickland stated "her ultimate goal is to reduce the suffering of her patients."

“Every day, with every patient, I want to exhibit an openness with no judgment and no expectations, and provide acceptance with who they are and what they are going through,” she said in a prepared statement from SLHS. “I am interested in educating and empowering my patients to help them reach their goals.”

Strickland performs or requests diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatments, administers vaccinations, and performs follow-up examinations for pediatric and adult patients alike.

She has experience and interest in transgender care, chronic pain management, mental health, women’s health, and reproductive health. She also does CDL exams, preventive exams (including pap smears), office-based procedures (including skin suturing), lesion removal and biopsies, IUD and nexplanon insertion, and endometrial biopsies.
