EMT Charlie Merriman and lifeguard Joshua Eng demonstrate on Nelson Dane how a patient is strapped into a stretcher.
NORWOOD -- The Norwood Beach recently held its first annual Emergency Response Workers day and are calling it a big success.
Representatives from the Norwood Police, Norwood Fire Department, Norwood/Potsdam EMS and Norwood DPW all came to show the community their vehicles and tools they would use in an emergency.

Officials want to extend special thank you to Stewart’s Ice Cream Shops for donating enough ice cream, toppings, etc. to feed roughly 150 people, and to our emergency response volunteers that made this event possible.
