Employees at Norfolk, Waddington stores charged with selling alcohol to 17-year-old, following 'sting' at 13 businesses

MASSENA – A state police underage drinking sting has resulted in charges to two people at businesses in Norfolk and Waddington today.

Troopers sent a 17-year-old into 13 businesses in the Massena area, and the teenager was able to obtain alcohol at two of them.

At Valeros on State Rt. 56 in the town of Norfolk, Christina L. Perry, 34, of 26 1/2 West Main St., Norfolk, was charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, under state penal law, and prohibited sale of alcoholic beverages, under ABC law .

At Sharlows Gas Station in Waddington, Jesse W. Vanleuven, 23, 143 St. Lawrence Ave., Waddington, was also charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of alcoholic beverages,

State police said both were issued appearance tickets to appear at a later date in the respective town courts.
