GOUVERNEUR -- State troopers say an Edwards woman is jailed on a litany of felonies following a recent home burglary, while an Antwerp man is facing a forged instrument count in connection with the case.
Gayle M. Wylie, 42, is charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree forgery and first-degree criminal contempt, all felonies.
She was charged at 3:11 p.m. at the Gouverneur state police barracks, stemming from an incident reported at 6:13 a.m. Sept. 26, troopers said.
Wylie was arraigned in court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton in lieu of $10,000 bail, troopers said.
Stemming from the same alleged incident, troopers say they charged Floyd R. Cousino, 55, of Antwerp with third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor.
He was charged at 8:47 a.m. Thursday at the Gouverneur state police barracks and released with an appearance ticket, troopers said.
