PITCAIRN -- An Edwards man was jailed without bail March 13 in connection with an incident Oct. 12, 2013, where police say he was in possession of about two pounds of marijuana and other drugs.
Darren J. Baker, 26, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class B felony, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, class D felony and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, troopers said.
During the alleged incident on Oct. 12, 2013, Baker was found in possession of approximately .5 ounces of morphine, about two pounds of marijuana, and an undisclosed quantity of hydrocodone and Oxycontin.
He was arrested based upon an indictment warrant issued by Judge Jerome Richards from the St. Lawrence County Court, troopers said.
He was reportedly arraigned in St. Lawrence County Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail.
He is to appear in court April 3 to face the charges, officers said.
