The 15th Annual GardenShare Growing Community Award, which recognizes individuals or organizations doing good work to strengthen food security in the North Country, was awarded recently to Edwards-Knox Central School.
Their ongoing commitment to the Community Eligibility Provision, which provides all their students access to free breakfast and lunch without household applications or stigma, is designed to make sure students arrive in their classes without hunger and the best possible chance for academic success.
Donors to GardenShare that made the social a special event are TAUNY, Deep Root Farm, Margaret Harloe, Potsdam Food Co-op, Nature’s Storehouse, Anastasia’s Bakery, and Clarkson University students from MLK Day of Service program.
