MASSENA -- Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation is the recipient of a gift from Dr. Sanjeev Gupta and Dr. Mukta Gupta in the midst of a multi-year campaign to advance healthcare for the greater Massena community

“The Future of Healthcare…Today” comprehensive campaign supports capital needs of the hospital, addresses patient comfort initiatives, and aims to expand the base of support for the foundation.

Foundation executive director Julia Rose healthcare is one of the constants of a healthy community, and as in any community, there is always a need.

“In our area, the need remains great and in some cases, dire,” Rose says. “Another constant of our community is the kind-hearted people that support the efforts of the MMH Foundation and in turn Massena Memorial Hospital’s patients.”

The Guptas are two such people, Rose says. “This community means a lot to them professionally but more so on a personal level.”

“The Guptas have made Massena their home by choosing to set up their respective private practices here. They have enjoyed the close-knit community as they raised their two daughters. So it’s easy to see why they would want to invest in the future of Massena’s healthcare.”

The Guptas’ two-year commitment in support of the foundation’s campaign joins those of SeaComm, Skip and Meg Herman, the foundation board and staff, the hospital board of managers and senior staff, who also have pledged an investment in the community’s healthcare.

A news release from the hospital did not say what the Guptas gave.

The MMH Foundation is a separate, non-profit corporation whose sole purpose is to raise funding in support of Massena Memorial Hospital.
