POTSDAM — A Madrid man was charged with driving while intoxicated Thursday on County Route 35 following a motor vehicle accident, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Lorenzo L. Blanding, 34, was charged with first-offense DWI, speed not reasonable or prudent, failure to keep right and uninspected motor vehicle, officers said.
Blanding was reportedly involved in an accident and was charged following investigation by deputies.
His blood-alcohol content (BAC) was allegedly .23 percent.
West Potsdam First Responders and West Potsdam Fire Department members were also on scene, deputies said.
Blanding was issued tickets and released.
