Democrat Brian S. McGrath’s first television ad for the 122nd Assembly District race will air widely over the next week to 10 days, the candidate says.
In the 30-second ad, McGrath and his family are at the farm in Lowville he grew up on. Emphasizing the message that the North Country has to become a place with good opportunities for young people, McGrath said he needed to leave the North Country to find a good job but has returned to ensure that “the word opportunity doesn’t always mean ‘someplace else.’”
The candidate said he “made a very heavy initial buy of time and spots” and promised a “series of television spots” that will air for up to two weeks each.
Producer Mark Guma Communications is the same firm that produced Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell’s first campaign spot in the 118th Assembly District.
The spot can viewed on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAqrGFg6CIk&feature=player_profilepage.
McGrath faces Republican Ken Blankenbush of Black River in the contest.
