Melanie Cunningham, the Democrat incumbent, has won a four-year term on the Massena Town Council over independent challenger Carl Zender.
She received 2,263 votes to his 313.
Cunningham was appointed in January to replace Steve O'Shaughnessy, a councilor who while still in that office was elected town supervisor last year.
Also in Massena, Mayor Tim Currier ran unopposed for another four years in the top village office, garnering 2,224 votes to 15 write-ins.
Democrats Matt Lebire, an incumbent who also serves as deputy mayor, and Christine Winston, a newcomer, ran unopposed for two village board seats. They received respective totals of 2,029 and 1,971 votes. There were 14 write-ins.
Patrick Serguson ran unopposed for a new term as town justice, receiving 2,215 votes to six write-ins.
