POTSDAM -- A Clarkson student from Monroe has been charged with felony possession and sale of marijuana after he was allegedly caught Monday with over half a pound of pot and some cocaine.
The St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, including members of the Potsdam Police Department and the St Lawrence County Sheriff’ Office, stopped a vehicle on Main Street driven by Kyle E. Kobetitsch, who will be 19 next Monday.
During the investigation, police say Kobetitsch was found to be in possession of over a half pound of marihuana, a small quantity of cocaine, and numerous items of paraphernalia and marihuana packaging and processing materials.
He was arrested and taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of marihuana 3rd, criminal sale of marihuana 3rd, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, and a window tint violation.
Kobetitsch was arraigned before Potsdam Justice Pignone and released to the supervision of probation authorities.
A K9 unit from the U.S. Border Patrol assisted with the investigation.
Potsdam Police report that this arrest is the result of an ongoing Task Force investigation and more arrests are pending.
