A government workers union CSEA has endorsed Gavin Regan for St. Lawrence County Clerk in November's election.
The Central Region 5 Political Action Committee of CSEA based their endorsement on the union's St. Lawrence County Political Action Committee recommendation.
Regan, a Democrat from Potsdam, was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo after the former clerk, Patty Ritchie, was elected state senator from the 48th District.
He is being opposed on the ballot by Republican Mary Lou Rupp from Ogdensburg, who was deputy clerk under Ritchie, and who was fired by Regan after he assumed the clerk's position.
