CRARY MILLS – Investigators are still looking into the cause of a fire that did extensive damage Cty. Rt. 35 home this morning.
The house, at 173 Cty Rt. 35, Town of Potsdam, owned by Beth Bier, sustained first floor smoke and water damage, and both stairwells were heavily damaged, as were two front bedrooms.
Investigators were still trying to speak with the owner of the house this afternoon.
West Potsdam and Potsdam firefighters were called out at 7:15 a.m. Thursday morning, and were back in service at 11:47 a.m. Potsdam Rescue was also on the scene. No injuries were reported.
Mutual aid came from Canton and Pierrepont volunteers. West Stockholm and Norwood departments stood by.
