CANTON — Community Bank N.A. branches across New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Massachusetts recently joined together to host a canned food drive throughout February.
The more than 100 participating branches collected 6,668 items and $500 in donations for local food pantries, shelves and banks, surpassing the original goal of 2,018 items.
Participating local branches included Heuvelton, Canton, Gouverneur, and Ogdensburg State Street.
Items were donated to numerous agencies including Canton Neighborhood Center, St. James Food Pantry and Ogdensburg Food Pantry.
Overall, nearly 100 food pantries, shelves and banks across Community Bank N.A.’s footprint received donations from the drive.
