POTSDAM — A Colton woman was charged with stealing donation canisters from the Potsdam Humane Society that were located at both Kinney Drugs locations in Potsdam, according to Potsdam police.
Deborah K. Rafter, 57, was charged with three counts of petit larceny at 8:10 a.m. Sunday.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by Kinney Drugs loss prevention staff and the Potsdam Police Department.
Rafter was identified on video surveillance shoplifting several items from the store and taking animal shelter donation canisters from both locations as well.
The incidents took place on separate days, officers said.
She was processed at the Potsdam Police Department and released on appearance tickets, officers said.
