Two Colton man were charged with selling alcohol to a minor Saturday night after police conducted an underage drinking sting in the area.
Potsdam village police cited Joseph A. Trimm, 28, at 10:30 p.m. at The Lounge, in the Big Lots shopping plaza on Outer Market Street.
Rodney R. Regan, 52, South Colton, was cited by state police on the same charge at 9:40 p.m. at the Red Pine Pub, 3906 NYS Hwy. 56, Colton.
Village police participated in the underage drinking checks at the request of state police as part of a larger underage drinking initiative in the area. Of all locations checked by village police, The Lounge was the only establishment where a sale of alcohol to a minor was observed, police said.
