The sun we see this afternoon in St. Lawrence County will give way as clouds will increase through the day while low pressure moves northeast off the East Coast, according to the National Weather Service. It will turn mostly cloudy tonight before partly sunny skies appear overhead Thursday, forecaster say.

Temperatures today and Thursday are predicted to be in the 30s with overnight lows in the lower 20s.

Temperatures will trend closer to normal values for the second half of the week heading into the weekend as the the high pressure that has been entrenched across the region over the past several days moves out, the weather service says.

Quiet weather is expected to continue from Friday night through the beginning of next week.

• Friday: Cloudy, with a high near 37. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

• Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Northwest wind around 6 mph.

• Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 35. North wind around 6 mph.

• Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. North wind around 6 mph.
