'Click It or Ticket' detail in Potsdam leads to 12 citations

POTSDAM -- Potsdam Police say they did a seatbelt crackdown on Saturday afternoon, which lead to charges against 12 people.

The crackdown is part of a statewide "Click It or Ticket" campaign, which runs through Sunday.

Police say those cited include:

12:27 p.m. – Warren B. Gerow, 29, of North Bangor was ticketed for driving while using portable electronic device

12:40 p.m. – Tarun Velugubantala, 27, of Potsdam was ticketed for no seatbelt

12:41 p.m. – Charles E. Upton, 28, of Clayton was ticketed for driving while using portable electronic device

1:09 p.m. – Shannon R. Ralston, 30, of Potsdam was ticketed for driving while using portable electronic device

1:10 p.m. – Logan R. Miles, 26, of St. Regis Falls was ticketed for driving while using cell phone

1:26 p.m. – Cole P. Hennessy, 22, of Colton was ticketed for driving while using portable electronic device

1:26 p.m. - Kelsey M. Deso, 25, of Champlain was ticketed for driving while using portable electronic device

2:24 p.m. – Julie W. Miller, 52, of Potsdam was ticketed for no seatbelt

2:35 p.m. – Jereme C. Oosterman, 30, of Potsdam was ticketed for no seatbelt

2:42 p.m. – Casey A. Britton, 21, of Poughquag was ticketed for no seatbelt

3:48 p.m. – Lance A. Jensen, 32, of Norfolk was ticketed for no seatbelt and driving while using portable electronic device

4:13 p.m. – Sufia Bakshi, 19, of Canton was ticketed for wrong way violation on Union Street
