OGDENSBURG -- Debbie King, radiology manager at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, has presented Terry Pistolesi, board member of the Gouverneur Business Women’s (GBW) Breast Cancer Walk, with a check for $1,100 from the proceeds earned from selling “Friends of Mel Foundation” bracelets.
Since March, King has sold 290 bracelets and given $2,200 to the GBW, all from proceeds of the bracelet sales. For each bracelet sold, $5 goes to a local cancer cause of the seller’s choice, which for King is the GBW.
For more information on how you can help support the GBW and their local efforts, you can find them on the web at www.gouverneurbreastcancerwalk.com.
