POTSDAM – Clarkson University’s Cheel Center Barben Rooms are the site of the next forum sponsored by the North Country Regional Development Council.
That meeting, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, is one of several scheduled by the council to solicit ideas and suggestions on initiatives and projects that the council might pursue as part of its mission of creating a five-year plan for the region, which includes Lewis, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Franklin, Essex, Clinton and Hamilton counties.
Other forums are on Oct. 18 in Elizabethtown, Oct. 19 in Indian Lake, and Oct. 26 in Lowville.
The North Country council is one of 10 statewide that will plan for development in their respective regions and compete for state aid toward their ends.
