MASSENA -- Massena Memorial Hospital Board of Managers is changing the date of their next meeting, citing the recent board upheaval at the hands of the town supervisor.
They will now meet March 4 at 4 p.m. in the hospital’s board room.
“The meeting is being postponed by one week due to recent circumstances and unknowns in terms of Board Executive Committee Officers,” said an announcement from MMH
Town Supervisor Steve O’Shaughnessy last week sent notices to MMH board chair Carol Fenton and vice chair Dave MacLennan that he is firing them.
Fenton will have a hearing Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Town Hall’s room 30. MacLennan has not requested a hearing, according to the supervisor.
O’Shaughnessy also fired the board’s previous chair, Sue Bellor. The supervisor also declined to re-appoint the chair before her, Scott Wilson, when his term expired Dec. 31.
