CANTON – A Chase Mills woman is accused of smuggling narcotics in the county jail.
Angela M. Swinyer, 41, 829 Ruddy Rd., is charged with two felonies, first-degree promoting prison contraband and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies allege Swinyer tried to bring drugs into the county correctional facility and give it to an inmate during a visit.
Swinyer was arraigned in Canton Village Court and released to the supervision of probation authorities, to appear in court again at a later date.
