CHASE MILLS -- A Chase Mills man was charged with violating a stay away order of protection less than six hours after it was issued, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.

Lucas J. Osypiewski, 25, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Osypiewski was issued the order of protection at 4:45 p.m. May 2 and around 10:30 p.m. the same day he went to the residence of the protected party, officers said.
