CANTON -- GardenShare will restart its Double Up program in July with a new partner, Field and Fork.
Households who have SNAP benefits (Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program) can use their cards at the farmers market — and receive an incentive through this program.
They will receive up to $20 in doubling which can only be used for vegetables at the market. Additionally, at the market you can use your debit or credit card and receive tokens to use with the vendors that do not expire.
GardenShare is also organizing Family Fun Day events in the coming weeks, with lots of activities, vendors, and local produce.
If you are a local organization who would like to help or participate with these events, email GardenShare at office@gardenshare.org or call 315-261-8054.
