OGDENSBURG -- A 92-year-old Canton woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident at State Route 37 and State Highway 68 Monday.

Dorothy Osterhout was killed after Joseph Wilkins, 84, turned left in a 2011 Chevy Impala toward State Highway 68 at around 9:20 p.m. Monday.

A 2008 Honda CRV driven by Jonathan Frederick, 46, of Ogdensburg drove into the passenger side of the vehicle.

Wilkins was transported to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, where he was treated for bruising and released.

Federick also had a passenger, Teegan J. Frederick, 9, of Ogdensburg, who was not injured.

Troopers say Osterhout was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Lawrence County Coroner Kevin J. Crosby.

Wilkins was treated at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for minor injuries and was released.

No tickets have been issued.

The investigation is ongoing with the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Canton and the Troop B Collision Reconstruction Unit.

State police were assisted by Morristown, Heuvelton, and Odgensburg fire departments.
