CANTON -- The Village of Canton is assembling a list of architects interested in working with property owners on building and façade renovations under the New York Main Street (NYMS) program.

The Village of Canton has been awarded a $300,000 grant through New York State Homes and Community Renewal’s (HCR) New York Main Street Program. This grant allows the village to assist owners of commercial, mixed-use properties located in a defined target area in downtown Canton with significant building renovation and façade restoration projects.

Architects wishing to be considered for inclusion must submit the request for qualifications form and all supporting documentation no later than Sept. 2 to Leigh Rodriguez, Director of Economic Development, 60 Main St., Canton, New York 13617; phone (315) 386-2871 ext. 5; emaillrodriguez@cantonny.us. The form can be found at http://www.cantonnewyork.us/canton-main-street-program-application-2/, or by contacting Rodriguez as indicated above.
