POTSDAM – In the spirit of National Hospital Week, Canton-Potsdam Hospital recently paid tribute to its 851 employees through a number of special events and activities, including the recognition of two 50-year employees.

A free on-site Mediterranean-themed luncheon, and a special midnight made-to-order breakfast, were served by members of the senior leadership team Tuesday.

A full day of health and wellness activities were available on Wednesday.

Many took advantage of the free ZUMBA, Yoga, and chair massage sessions, while others visited interactive tables to win prizes, check vitamin levels, bone density, diabetes risk, and lung capacity. Several individuals won prizes for participating.

In addition, staff, retirees, and their guests were invited to attend the "We are Family" Annual Employee Appreciation Dinner on Friday, May 13, at Clarkson University.

At the dinner 100 individuals were recognized for reaching milestone years of service, including two with 50 years of service, Pauline LePage and Betty Fifield. DJ Todd Truax provided dance music for the evening.

"Throughout National Hospital Week, staff were recognized for their dedication in providing very good care to our community," remarked David B. Acker, president and CEO. "They put 110% into everything they do and this dinner is an opportunity for them to gather in celebration and congratulate their peers on special achievements and CPH anniversaries," added Acker.
