HERMON -- A Canton man was charged Tuesday for burglary for allegedly entering a dwelling on County Route 21 and stealing two kitchen chairs, according to state police.
Troopers said they charged David E. McRobbie, 45, with second-degree burglary, felony, at 128 Cousintown Road at 1:40 p.m.
The incident was first reported to state police Dec. 27.
He was arraigned in Hermon Town Court and released on his own recognizance, officers said.
He is to appear in Hermon Town Court Feb. 4 at 5:30 p.m., to answer the charges, police said.
Troopers said their investigation is still open.
