CANTON – A Canton man is accused of pointing what appeared to be a handgun at his mother, demanding the keys to her truck, and taking the truck.
Jesse D. Olson, 21, has been charged with second-degree robbery: displays firearm, and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Olson was arraigned in Town of Canton Court and committed to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail.
According to state police, the arrest stemmed from an incident Thursday where Olson pointed what appeared to be a handgun at his mother and demanded the keys to her vehicle and, after stealing the keys, he took her pickup truck without her permission.
Troopers said they got the report of the incident at 2:23 p.m. Thursday, and made the arrest on Gulf Road in Colton at 4:30 p.m.
