OGDENSBURG -- A Canton man is accused of falsifying documents at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center to obtain narcotics.

State police say Timothy R. Beldock, 31, of Canton, was charged with falsifying documents at a hospital to obtain narcotics.

Beldock, while employed at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg as a Nurse Anesthetist, had fraudulently completed business records during his employment to obtain narcotics, troopers said. An investigation began when Beldock was found to be visibly impaired while he was at work on Dec. 11, 2014.

Following an investigation by the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, it was determined that Beldock had several discrepancies from Sept. 1, 2014 to Dec.11, 2014 related to narcotic drugs at the hospital.

Beldock was charged with falsifying business records first degree, a class E Felony, and fraud and deceit related to controlled substances, a class A misdemeanor. He was also charged with violating section 3304 of the “Prohibited Acts Law under the New York State Public Health Law, a class A Misdemeanor,” troopers said.

Beldock was arraigned at the Canton Town Court where he was released under the supervision of St. Lawrence County probation.
