Canton Police Chief Lori McDougal said the investigation conducted by her, Sgt. Basil Cheney, SUNY Canton Police, and St. Lawrence County Coroner Joseph White found no evidence of foul play in the boy's death.
McDougal said the first report of the death came in a 911 call at 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
The boy's body was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for the autopsy, McDougal said.
At the school today, officials confirm that counselors are on hand to speak with students who would like some help dealing with their reactions.
