Candidates for St. Lawrence County legislator describe their vision of the county for next 10 years

All candidates for St. Lawrence County Legislature were asked, "What is your vision for St. Lawrence County for the next ten years in terms of the local economy and the environment? And, how do you see implementing that vision?"

Job creation and figuring out ways to make it possible for more young adults to remain in the North Country instead of moving out of the area were primary topics addressed by the candidates.

Several also offered their positions on the proposed "rooftop" I-98 highway and on agricultural and environmental issues.

Legislator candidates were informed their responses would appear on or be used by NorthCountryNow.com, North Country Public Radio and the Watertown Daily Times.

The question was created and sent to all candidates by John Casserly of Canton, as a member of "CantonPotsdam2020,"  an advocacy group with a CantonPotsdam 2020 Facebook page.
