High pressure overhead will keep the area dry through the daytime hours today with some light snowfall possible tonight lasting through Wednesday afternoon in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Following this system, a return to more zonal flow will keep temperatures near seasonal norms, NWS says.
Highs today will be near 17 with sunny skies and wind chill values as low as -27 degrees, forecasters say.
The overnight low will be around 8 with wind chill values of -2, NWS says.
There is a 60 percent chance of snow Tuesday with a high around 25, the service says. Total accumulation will be less than an inch.
A few weak upper level disturbances could bring some light showers to the North Country through the early weekend.
There is the potential towards the end of the weekend into early next week for a more significant frontal system to push through and bring some more focused precipitation.

Snow likely, mainly between noon and 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 25. North wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 10. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph after midnight. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Wednesday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph.
