Jeffery S. Jessmer, 29, of county Route 55 was charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
On March 16, police say they responded to a report of a disorderly patron at a local hotel.
Police say they found the suspect, Jessmer, a short time later in the parking lot of a nearby store. He allegedly had a bag of pot and a pipe on the passenger seat of the car and was intoxicated, police said.
While being taken into custody, he allegedly kicked a Canton police officer in the mouth, and he did not require medical attention, police said.
Jessmer was arraigned in Canton Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $500 bail, police said.
