MASSENA -- A Brasher Falls man is charged with menacing for allegedly breaking up an animal rights protest with a baseball bat.
Noah D. Fisher, 33, of Hurley Road was charged with misdemeanor second-degree menacing at 6:59 p.m. at the Maple Street trailer park, police said.
A group of people had gathered at the park's Lot 42 to protest Ralph VanGuilder, 27, who on Saturday was charged with abandoning a disabled animal, police said.
Fisher emerged from the trailer with a baseball bat and threatened Sonya Allman, according to police.
He was released with an appearance ticket for Massena Village Court, police said.
