OGDENSBURG – Extensive damage was reported following a fire that destroyed a structure at 111 Lafayette St. Sunday.
Five Ogdensburg firefighters originally responded to the property owned by John Clark at 5:42 p.m.
Another 12 off-duty firefighters were called in to the scene.
Cause of the fire is under investigation by firefighter John Robinson and officer Dan Mousaw of the Ogdensburg Police Department.
Firefighters returned to the station at 10:13 p.m.
The Heuvelton fire department was on stand-by at the Ogdensburg station during the fire.
