POTSDAM -- One of four alleged attackers was stabbed during a home invasion that sent two people to the hospital Sunday.

Potsdam police say four people entered a Maple Street home wearing ski masks and armed with baseball bats. During the fight that followed one of the alleged attackers was stabbed in the abdomen by the victim.

Potsdam Police charged Jerika L. Francis, 18, Keith B. Christy, 19, and Logan M. Johns, 19, with first degree burglary and second-degree assault.

Potsdam police say a fourth suspect, Ervin Francis, was stabbed during the home invasion. He was located at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where he was being treated for a stab wound.

The victim, who has not been identified, was treated for head and face injuries and released.

Ervin Francis was not formally charged as he is being treated in intensive care. However, a warrant for his arrest warrant has been issued.

Jerika Francis and Johns were jailed on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Christy was jailed on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.

Members of the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the state police, U.S. Border Patrol, and SUNY Potsdam Police assisted on scene.
