Assemblywoman Russell names appointments for 2011-12

Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell (D – Theresa) has announced her staff appointments for the 2011-12 Legislative Session.

Mark A. Pacilio will remain as Chief of Staff. He has served as the chief executive for several nonprofit organizations during his career, most recently the American Red Cross of Northern New York.

He was also a trustee and deputy mayor for the Village of Sackets Harbor and is an adjunct professor at Jefferson Community College.

He holds a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Utica College of Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in public policy from University of Delaware.

Doris C. McLallen will remain as part time Community Relations Director. She is retired from thirty years in North Country education, serving as elementary school principal at Alexandria Central School and Belleville-Henderson Central School as well as for Jefferson-Lewis BOCES as a speech therapist and SETRC training specialist.

She serves on the JCCBoard of Trustees, is a long time library board member, a certified and practicing mediator, and member of the Victim’s Assistance Center Board, the American Association of University Women, FDRLO, AUSA and was also the mayor of the Village of Black River.

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Secondary French from SUNY Potsdam, a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the College of Saint Rose and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Administration from St. Lawrence University.

Ezra S. “Ted” Ford will remain as part time Constituent Liaison. He has an extensive communications background, having served as executive producer of WWNY-TV news, Director of Operations for WWTI-TV, and owner of WBRD radio.

In addition to media operations he is also an independent businessman who established AAMCO Transmissions in Watertown.

He is a certified and practicing mediator, a longtime library board member, an exempt member of the LaFargeville Fire Department and formerly served for 20 years on the school board.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Ithaca College.

Judith A. Aldrich will join the office and serve as Coordinator of Legislative and Community Affairs. She will staff the satellite district office in Canton.

She was previously Legislative Aide for Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava. Before that she was Director of Information for Allied Federated Cooperatives, was owner and operator of a dairy farm and was a nurse.

She has served on several agriculture and natural resource related boards and volunteers in her church and community, and participated in mission trips to re-build hurricane devastated areas.

She holds an Associate in Applied Science from Canton Agricultural and Technical Institute.

Ronald D. Monnat will join the office and serve as part time Community Liaison. He is a retired business agent for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73, and was president of the St. Lawrence Building and Construction Trades Council, an officer of the Jefferson-Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties Central Trades and Labor Council and past member of the Jefferson-Lewis Workforce Investment Board.

He apprenticed from 1973-1978 and was a pipe welder/pipe fitter by trade.

He is a Vietnam veteran, having served in the Navy as a ship fitter from 1965 through his honorable discharge in 1969. He is a member of the American Legion Post 61 and VFW Post 1400, both in Watertown, and the Watertown Elks Club Lodge 496.
