POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Arts Council has been selected to receive an $18,000 Regional Economic Development Council Award and will expand a position from part time to full time.
The grant, through the New York State Council on the Arts' Workforce Investment program, was one of 82 projects funded in the seven-county North Country region as part of the 2015 Regional Economic Development Council Awards.
The money will be used to expand their program coordinator's part-time position to full-time over the span of two years, 2016 and 2017.
The council primarily serves St. Lawrence County with additional program support in Jefferson and Lewis counties.
