POTSDAM -- An Amish man was injured Tuesday after his buggy was hit by a Buick on the Morley-Potsdam Road.
Kathlyn R. Bonno, 26, Potsdam, was the driver, according to state police. The accident shut down the Morley-Potsdam road temporarily as state police, first responders and rescuers responded to the scene.
At least two ambulances were spotted at the accident site.
Mose S. Miller, 36, of Lisbon was operating the buggy. He was transferred to Canton-Potsdam hospital by Potsdam rescue for a possible concussion and back pain.
Police say the horse survived the incident and is doing well.
Bonno was ticketed for failure to use due care while passing an animal.
