MASSENA -- Alcoa's chairman will be in Massena to celebrate the re-opening of the East Plant on Friday.
Chairman and CEO Klaus Kleinfeld will be visiting for a ceremonial pouring of some of the first molten aluminum to be produced at the newly restarted plant.
The event will be held in the Alcoa East Maintenance Shop .
About 80 laid-off workers have been called back to the East Plant since the beginning of the year.
