Olivia J. Terrance, 34, was charged in connection with the incidents on Friday, police said.

The first pursuit began after a reported theft from the Malone Walmart on Dec. 10 around 11:50 p.m., when Terrance was operating a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, driving erratically, on county Route 51 in the town of Malone. Troopers say they tried to stop her and she failed to comply. They pursued her and later called off the chase on state Route 37 in the town of Malone. Terrance was unable to be immediately located following an investigation, troopers said.

On Dec. 14, Walmart in Malone reported two more larcenies which occurred on Dec.10, around 12:05 a.m., where Terrance was believed to have stolen two Samsung 50-inch televisions, valued at $448 each. And then again on Dec. 11, at approximately 7:05 a.m., Terrance allegedly stole two LG 43-inch televisions, valued at $298 each. Video surveillance captured Terrance loading the stolen merchandise into the 2013 Chevrolet Impala and driving away from Walmart property, according to troopers.

On New Year’s Eve around 7:24 p.m., state police received another call from Wal-Mart in Malone that Terrance had just stolen two more 55-inch Samsung televisions, valued at $349 each, and left the property in the same vehicle, traveling west on U.S. Route 11. Troopers located the vehicle on state Route 37 in the town of Westville, with the televisions protruding from the trunk of the vehicle. Troopers say Terrance’s vehicle reached a top speed of over 100 m.p.h., leading troopers west on state Route 37, then north on Pyke Street, then west onto county Route 43. After the vehicle turned north onto Chapman Road, Terrance intentionally struck two state police patrol cars, causing damage, and then tried to hit a trooper who was on foot. Terrance then drove off the roadway and continued north into Canada where the pursuit was terminated, police said.

The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service located Terrance and the vehicle in Snye, Quebec, where she was taken into custody. They recovered one of the stolen televisions and subsequently charged her with criminal possession of stolen property and driving while intoxicated and released her on tickets.

Malone Town Court then issued a warrant for her arrest.

On Jan. 2, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Terrance at her residence in Akwesasne. She was later turned over to state police. She allegedly had stolen additional merchandise from Walmart in Malone on Nov. 30 around 3:15 a.m. Terrance allegedly stole toys, a laptop computer, a toaster oven and a 40-inch television, with a total value of approximately $1,045. She has been charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree grand larceny , two counts of petit larceny, third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marihuana, third-degree aggravated unlawful operation and numerous traffic offenses.

She was arraigned in Malone Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone, in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
