BRASHER – A structure suffered moderate damage after fire broke out this afternoon, according to St. Lawrence County fire investigators.
The Brasher-Winthrop Fire Department responded at 2:23 p.m. to the building at 326 McCarthy Rd. owned by Jack Levitt.
Mutual aid was provided by the Helena and North Lawrence fire departments. The West Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department was on standby.
Cause of the blaze was accident, fire investigators said. The building was insured, the said.
