OSWEGATCHIE – Additional arrests could be made in a case where two men have been charged in a morning meth and pot raid on the Stone Church Road, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Christopher L. Snyder, 39, of 815 Stone Church Road, Oswegatchie and Steven A. Montroy, 27, of 181 Mcilwee Road were charged.
Snyder was arrested for unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third-degree a class D-felony, criminal possession of marihuana in the second-degree a class D-felony and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree a class A-misdemeanor.
Montroy was arrested for unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the second-degree a class D-felony and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree a class A-misdemeanor.
The arrests stemmed from an execution of a search warrant, ordered and signed by Town of Oswegatchie Court Judge Michael Hebert.
Deputies raided 815 Stone Church Road and located approximately 32 ounces of marijuana, solvents, chemical reagents and laboratory equipment as well as powdered methamphetamine in and around the residence.
Snyder and Montroy were arraigned in the Town of Oswegatchie Court by Judge Hebert.
Both were sent St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Both are due back in Town of Oswegatchie Court on Sept. 28 for further proceedings.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New York State Police CCSERT Team and Narcotics Unit, Gouverneur PD, Ogdensburg PD, New York State DEC, and Morristown Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
