PARISHVILLE -- An Adams man was killed in an UTV accident near Carry Falls on Sunday, according to state police.
Francis A. Cook, 46, was found dead when troopers responded to Carry Falls Beach that evening.
The investigation revealed that Cook was operating his 2016 Polaris Ranger UTV eastbound on the beach when the machine tipped over, causing fatal injuries to Cook, police said.
St. Lawrence County Coroner June Wood responded to the scene and pronounced Cook deceased.
Jefferson County Medical Examiner Dr. Samuel Livingstone performed an autopsy at Canton-Potsdam Hospital Monday. He determined the cause of death to be basilar skull fractures due to blunt force trauma, police said.
Wood ruled the manner of death accidental.
